Volunteer Transportation
Description:
Reimbursement of out-of-pocket, per mile expenses for individuals who transport older persons in their vehicle. Allowable trips in order of priority:
- medical
- legal
- nutritional
- social appointments to reduce social isolation
Door-to-door service is provided by volunteer drivers. Please call in advance 48 hours.

Other:
Allegan County Resource Development Committee, Inc. is looking for more volunteer drivers. Volunteer drivers use their own vehicle to transport seniors to medical, nutritional, legal and social appointments. Drivers are reimbursed 46¢ per mile. Volunteer drivers need to have a safe working vehicle, driver’s license, full liability insurance, and be willing to have a criminal background check.
