Biography of Theresa Lynn, RN, MSW
|
Theresa has served on the Allegan County Commission on Aging since November of 2007 and was elected Chairperson in January 2008. As Executive Director of Wings of Hope Hospice, she is a strong advocate for quality of life for seniors. With 10 years of hospice experience, including positions both as an RN and a grief support counselor, Theresa has seen firsthand the importance of good health and social connectedness. She appreciates the life lessons many of our elders freely share. Most of all, she enjoys hearing stories about what it was like to live during different historical events.
Theresa grew up in a small town in the Upper Peninsula. After living most of her adult life in Grand Rapids, she came to Wings of Hope Hospice in the summer of 2003. In March of the following year she moved to Cheshire Township and has enjoyed her small hobby farm there ever since. Theresa also likes boxing, Red Wings hockey, riding her motorcycle and playing the piano.
Theresa’s goal for the Commission on Aging is for it to be an action-oriented, creative and forward-thinking group of diverse individuals who have the drive, the stamina and the resources to create senior-friendly communities throughout Allegan County.
